First and second paper practice tests, with step-by-step guided solutions.
Three Italian papers (first paper, types A, B and C), five in maths, three in physics, two in Latin, two in English, two in human sciences and two in business economics, all original and built on the pattern of the real papers: six hours, and at the end an estimated mark out of 20 using the official grid. The maturità is Italy's school-leaving exam: a first paper in Italian for everyone, then a second paper that depends on your type of high school.
The correct answer to every question and your weak topics arrive by email for free; with an account you see them straight away here, together with the score, which is already on the page for everyone. The guided step-by-step solution unlocks with your first lesson.
Six hours, like on the day of the exam.

How to choose the right practice test
At the liceo scientifico, concentrate on the maths tests: that is the second paper. Do them in order and in real time — six hours, on paper, with no interruptions. A test done in pieces over three afternoons tells you nothing about how you will hold up on the morning of the exam, which is half the problem.
The three physics tests are for the scenario in which the Ministry changes its mind, and they are in any case the best way to revise electromagnetism, relativity and quantum physics as problems instead of a formula sheet. If you need a targeted refresher before you start, the trigonometry quiz (linked below) closes in twenty-five minutes the chapter that comes up most often in the questions.
At the liceo classico the second paper is Latin: the two practice tests put two translations in front of you to choose from, with guided translation sentence by sentence and eight questions on the constructions that come up most often (narrative cum, ablative absolute, conditional sentence, sequence of tenses). At the liceo linguistico it is foreign language 1 — here English — with a literary text and a text that is not literary to choose from and eight written-production questions.
Frequently asked questions.
Which practice test should I take, based on my school?
It depends on your school track: at the liceo scientifico the second paper is maths (with physics as an alternative scenario, covered below to be safe); at the liceo classico it is Latin, with one translation chosen from two proposals and eight questions on Latin constructions and culture; at the liceo linguistico it is foreign language 1 — here English — with a choice between a literary text and a text that is not literary and eight written-production questions; at the human sciences high school it is human sciences (an essay from documents plus questions) and at the economics-focused technical school it is business economics (a business case with accounts plus questions). The first paper in Italian, the same for every track, has a series of its own with the three types A, B and C. Each series has its own page with practice tests, guided solutions and dedicated FAQs.
Is the second paper in maths or in physics?
For the liceo scientifico, maths. Since 2023 the second paper of the liceo scientifico has gone back to maths only, and it is confirmed the same way for 2026 (19 June). The mixed paper appeared only in 2019 and the rumour returns every year: go by the Ministry's official announcements. The physics practice tests cover the "in case physics comes up" scenario, so you get there prepared with no surprises.
How do I self-mark an open-answer paper?
You work on paper as in the exam, then reveal the guided solution one step at a time and compare how much you did on your own. The simulator turns that comparison into an estimated mark out of 20 using the official grid (problem 10 points, each question 2.5). It is an estimate, not a mark: it helps you see whether you lack method or just speed.
Which calculator is allowed?
Scientific or graphing, as long as it has no symbolic computation (CAS) and no internet connection. Practise with the same one you will take to the exam: most of the minutes lost on exam day go on hunting for a key.
Are the solutions free?
The guided solutions of the maturità practice tests can be revealed step by step right on the page, with no registration, and that is how self-marking works. For the multiple-choice simulators on the rest of the site the rule is the same as everywhere: score and breakdown by section are always free on the page, the correct answer and weak points arrive free by email (straight away on the page with an account), and the full reasoning comes with the first lesson.

Is the estimated mark not enough?
The practice test shows you where you stand; getting you to the mark you want is the part where I can help. The first call is a free diagnosis: we look together at the paper you did and I tell you how many lessons you need and on what.
