English second paper practice tests.

Like the real ministry paper (Part 1 + Part 2): two texts are set, one literary and one nonliterary, you choose one and answer the comprehension and interpretation questions. Then comes the written production: eight questions — essay plans, paragraphs, formal letters, text analysis — of which you answer four. All the material is in English.

You write your answers as you would in the exam, then reveal the model answer for every comprehension question and every production question, and mark yourself as a percentage. The practice test estimates the mark out of 20 (chosen text 10 points, questions 10 points, as in the official grid).

The literary text is an authentic extract from a public-domain work (Jane Austen, Charles Dickens); the nonliterary text is an original article written for this practice test, in B2/C1 English as in the real paper. No text is translated from Italian.

That is exactly what Part 2 trains: the questions include argumentative essay plans, sample paragraphs and formal letters with ready-to-reuse “useful language” — handy even just to revise structure and linking words before the exam, without necessarily writing the whole essay.
