Online science tutoring.
General and inorganic chemistry, biology, earth sciences and astronomical geography. The lessons are designed both for students who need to make up failing grades and for those who want to reach the maturità or the admission tests (TOLC-MED, TOLC-B) with a solid method and targeted revision.
A solid method and targeted revision.
The students I work with
- Students at the liceo scientifico, classical and languages schools with science in their curriculum.
- Fifth-year students with the astronomical geography and molecular biology syllabus ahead of the oral exam.
- Future medicine, dentistry, biology, pharmacy and veterinary students for the chemistry and biology section of the admission tests.
- First-year university students with general chemistry or biology exams.
How it works
- You tell me in advance the topic or chapter to review.
- I explain the concept with a concept map and a concrete example.
- We do exercises (stoichiometry, genetics, astronomy problems) or multiple-choice quizzes.
- We build revision diagrams that stay with you for the test.
- At the end of the lesson you receive the notes and an outline of what to revise.
What we cover.
The four pillars of high school science, plus preparation for the university admission test in the medical-biological area.

Science: frequently asked questions.
Do you help with the high school science syllabus, including the fifth year?
Yes. The whole high school science syllabus: chemistry (general and inorganic), biology, earth sciences and fifth-year astronomical geography. It is one of the areas I work on most often ahead of tests and the maturità.
Can I prepare for the medicine admission tests on the chemistry and biology part?
Of course. For the chemistry and biology section of the admission tests (TOLC-MED, TOLC-B, healthcare professions, veterinary medicine) we do a structured review of the syllabus and practice tests with quizzes from the official tests of recent years.
How do we tackle stoichiometry?
We start from the concept of the mole and the proportions in reactions, then practise with exercises of increasing difficulty. Most stoichiometry mistakes come from wrong units and forgotten balancing: we insist on those.
How does fifth-year astronomical geography work?
Astronomical geography is the part of fifth-year science that brings physics and astronomy together: motions of the Earth, the solar system, stars, galaxies, cosmology. We work with diagrams and concept maps because it is easier to remember by linking the phenomena rather than studying them one by one.
And earth sciences (geology, tectonics, volcanoes)?
We cover the whole high school earth science syllabus: from the classification of rocks to plate tectonics, up to volcanic and seismic phenomena. For the maturità we concentrate on the links with chemistry (mineral composition) and physics (seismic waves).
Can I prepare for a university exam in general chemistry or biology?
For first-year general chemistry (medicine, biology, biotechnology, pharmacy, science degrees), yes. For very specialised exams in later years (advanced organic chemistry, biochemistry, clinical microbiology) we first work out together whether the syllabus falls within my skills before starting.
