Online computer science tutoring.
MATLAB and Simulink (advanced level too), Python, C, web development with HTML/CSS/JS and React. Learning to program means learning to break problems down: we work on the reasoning first, then on the code.
You learn code by writing it.
The students I work with
- Engineering university students (industrial, mechanical, electronic, automation) with MATLAB, Simulink, control and signals exams.
- Computer science and computer engineering students facing their first programming exams in C or Python.
- Students from other faculties with a "Computer science fundamentals" or "Programming" exam to pass.
- Anyone who wants to learn web development from scratch or consolidate HTML/CSS/JS before moving on to React.
- Students at technical institutes and liceo scientifico (applied sciences track) with computer science in their curriculum.
How it works
- We define the goal: understanding a concept, debugging an exercise, preparing for an exam, finishing a project.
- We open the editor (VS Code) or MATLAB and work in shared live coding.
- I write a first version explaining the choices, then you modify it.
- We discuss runtime errors and how to prevent them (tests, edge cases).
- I leave you targeted exercises to do before the next lesson.

I also cover Java (from introductory exams to object-oriented programming) and databases (relational model, SQL, normalisation), as well as programming (Python, C, Java), MATLAB and Simulink and web development. Want to test yourself before the lesson? Try the free university practice test.
Computer science: frequently asked questions.
Do you teach programming to people starting from zero?
Yes. Many of my students write their first "Hello World" with me. We start from concrete concepts (variables, conditions, loops) and get to writing complete programs within a few lessons, in Python as well as MATLAB.
Do you help with MATLAB and Simulink at an advanced level too?
Yes, in fact it is one of the areas where I work with many engineering students. From basic MATLAB up to control toolboxes, identification, signals, Simulink modelling of dynamic systems and tuning of PID/LQR controllers. If you have a specific project, bring it to me and we work directly on your code.
Can I do web development with React starting from little JavaScript?
Yes, but it needs the right approach: first we strengthen the basics (DOM, ES6+, async/await, fetch), then we move into React with components, hooks and state management. You write the final project yourself under my supervision, so it is really yours.
Do you help with university computer science projects?
I can help you set them up, debug the code and improve the architecture and algorithms. I do not write the project in your place: we work together so that when you discuss it at the exam you know exactly what you did. This applies to projects in C, Python, MATLAB and React.
Is everything done by video call, or also live coding?
Both: I share my screen to explain, and we use tools such as VS Code Live Share or repl.it so we can write code together in real time. Watching the program fail and fixing it together is the best way to learn.
Can I prepare for an Algorithms and Data Structures exam?
Yes, it is one of the exams I work on most often. We work on theory (complexity, proofs of correctness) and practice (implementing lists, trees, graphs and classic sorting and search algorithms) in C or Python depending on the course.
