Business economics second paper practice tests.
Two complete papers built on the pattern of the ministry paper: a business case and eight questions, and you pick 1 + 4 as in the exam. You build the balance sheet on paper, and when you get stuck you reveal the guided steps one at a time.
Designed for the AFM option (Administration, Finance and Marketing): reclassified balance sheet, ratios (ROE, ROI, financial leverage, liquidity), break-even, budgets, costs, leasing and business plan.
The maturità is Italy’s school-leaving exam; its second paper is the written test in the main subject of your school type, which for the AFM option of the technical economics institute is business economics.
Test in ItalianThe questions of this simulator are in Italian, as in the real exam.

Frequently asked questions about the business economics second paper.
What is the business economics second paper really like?
The paper has two parts: in the first, starting from a business situation, you draw up the reclassified annual balance sheet within given constraints and comment on it with financial ratios; in the second you answer a selection of questions on the business economics syllabus (balance sheet analysis, break-even, budgets, costs, leasing, business plan). On this site we map it onto the same scheme as the other maturità papers: 2 business cases (you choose 1) and 8 questions (you choose 4), estimated mark out of 20.
Which school option is this paper designed for?
For the technical economics institute, Administration, Finance and Marketing (AFM) option: the business economics second paper is the defining paper of this option. The two business cases of each practice test cover both a manufacturing company (SpA) and a trading company (Srl), the two most frequent situations in the real paper.
How does the marking work?
You build the reclassified balance sheet and answer the questions as in the exam, then reveal step by step the guided construction of the statements, the calculation of the ratios and the commentary, and finally mark yourself by comparing what you wrote. The practice test estimates the mark out of 20 with the standard grid (business case 10 points, each question 2.5).
Are the balance sheet figures consistent with each other?
Yes: every balance sheet balances uses and sources, and the ratios (ROE, ROI, financial leverage, liquidity ratio) are recalculated and checked step by step in the guided solution, including the relationship between ROI, cost of debt and financial leverage — not just the final result.
