Maths and physics practice tests, based on the syllabus of your year.
Three families of tests: class tests during the year, one for each topic of the syllabus (50 minutes, no penalty), the September catch-up exams (one hour, one whole year at a time) and single-topic quizzes: trigonometry, stoichiometry and moles, pH and redox, Mendelian genetics. Every test shows you which topics you lost marks on, not just how many. In Italy a liceo is an academic high school; these tests cover its maths and physics, from Year 1 to Year 4.
The correct answer to every question and your weak topics arrive by email for free; with an account you see them straight away here, together with the score, which is already on the page for everyone. The guided step-by-step solution unlocks with your first lesson.
One test for every topic of the syllabus.

How to choose the right test
Choose the year by the syllabus you have covered, not the one you are in: every test lists its topics, and when in doubt that list decides. Students coming back from a summer of study often start from the previous year to check the basics, and only then move on to the current one.
The score alone says little: look at the breakdown by topic. Getting three exercises wrong all in the same chapter is a contained gap, which closes in a few lessons; getting three wrong across different chapters is almost always a problem of calculation and method, and is tackled differently. Retaking the same test a week later is the most honest check: the questions are drawn at random, so you are not remembering the answers.
Frequently asked questions.
What is the difference between a catch-up exam and a normal class test?
The September exam covers the whole year's syllabus in one go, while a class test during the year covers one part of it. That changes how you prepare: revising the last chapter is not enough, you need to put topics from October and May back in order and notice which ones have already faded. A full practice test does exactly that — it shows you now, not in the exam room.
How do I choose the right year if my syllabus is different?
The tests follow the most common sequence of the liceo scientifico, with exponentials and logarithms placed in Year 4. Many schools bring them forward to Year 3 and some move trigonometry: if your syllabus does not match, look at the list of topics for each year and pick the one that best describes what you have covered, not the year you are in. If you are between two, take both: the topics they share will show you straight away where you are weak.
How long does it take to catch up on a failed subject?
It depends on how big the gap is, and a practice test is the quickest way to measure it. If you mostly get calculations and mechanical steps wrong, a few weeks of targeted practice are enough; if the basic concepts are missing — what an equation means, how to read a graph — you need to rebuild, and that takes longer. The difference shows in the type of mistake, not in the score.
Do I need to register?
Not to take the practice test: the first attempt of the day starts immediately, with no account. You see your score and the breakdown by section as soon as you finish. For the correct answer to every question and your weak topics you need an email address — with a free account you also see them straight away on this page instead of waiting for the email.
Are the solutions free?
Your score and the topics where you lost marks are free and appear straight away when you finish the test. The correction — the correct answer to every question — is free too: we send it by email, or you see it straight away on this page with an account. The guided step-by-step solution — the full reasoning — unlocks with your first lesson.
