Frequently asked questions.
Is the practice test identical to the real TOLC-SPS?
It follows the CISIA 2026 structure, checked directly on the official website: 40 questions in 90 minutes across 3 separately timed sections — 10 text comprehension, 15 acquired knowledge and 15 reasoning and mathematical language — plus 30 English questions in 15 minutes, marked separately. Scoring is +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong one and 0 for a blank (there is no penalty in the English section). The questions are original, written in the style of the official syllabus — they are not copied CISIA questions.
What does "reasoning and mathematical language" mean?
Together with "acquired knowledge" it is the largest section (15 questions out of 40): it mixes basic maths (arithmetic, percentages, proportions, simple equations) with logical reasoning. It is not an advanced maths section, but it checks whether you can reason with numbers and logical premises together.
What does "acquired knowledge" cover?
General knowledge geared to political and social sciences: Italian institutions and the Constitution, the European Union, basic economics, twentieth-century history and political geography — the kind of broad knowledge useful to anyone studying international relations, communication or political science.
Can I retake the practice test more than once?
Yes, as often as you like. The questions are drawn at random from a bank of verified questions for each area, so every attempt is a different test. If you close the page halfway through, the test resumes where you left off.
What if my score is low?
That is exactly why the practice test exists: at the end you see the breakdown by section and by topic, so you know where to focus your revision. If you would like a hand, the first call with me is a free diagnostic: we look at the results together and build a plan around your real gaps.
