Is the practice test identical to the real TOLC-PSI?
It follows the 2026 CISIA structure: 50 questions in 100 minutes across 5 separately timed sections, 10 questions each — reading comprehension, basic maths, verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, biology — plus 30 English questions in 15 minutes, marked separately. Scoring is +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong one and 0 for a blank (there is no penalty in the English section). The questions are original, written in the style of the official syllabus — they are not copied CISIA questions.
Why is there maths in a psychology test?
Because the TOLC-PSI assesses general reasoning skills, not just humanities knowledge: basic maths and numerical reasoning together make up 20 questions out of 50, 40% of the test. It is the most common surprise for people who prepare thinking only about comprehension and verbal reasoning.
What exactly are “verbal reasoning” and “numerical reasoning”?
Verbal reasoning trains analogies, syllogisms in natural language and the logical consistency of a text — it is not reading comprehension, it is logic applied to language. Numerical reasoning covers sequences, sets, elementary probability and percentages: basic maths applied to practical problems, not pure calculation.
Can I retake the practice test more than once?
Yes, as often as you like. The questions are drawn at random from a bank of verified questions for each area, so every attempt is a different test. If you close the page halfway through, the test resumes where you left off.
