Is the practice test identical to the real TOLC-AV?
It follows the CISIA 2026 structure: 50 questions in 100 minutes across 6 separately timed sections — 8 maths, 8 biology, 8 chemistry, 8 physics, 8 logic and 10 verbal comprehension — plus 30 English questions in 15 minutes, marked separately. Scoring is +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong one and 0 for a blank (there is no penalty in the English section). The questions are original, written in the style of the official syllabus — they are not copied CISIA questions.
Why does the TOLC-AV have so many different sections?
Unlike the TOLC-B or TOLC-F, where maths makes up 40% of the test, the TOLC-AV spreads its questions almost equally across five areas (8 questions each) plus verbal comprehension. It is designed to check a broad preparation, typical of someone applying for agriculture or veterinary science, rather than an early specialisation in a single subject.
Is logic really necessary for agriculture and veterinary science?
Yes, and it is often the most underestimated section: 8 questions out of 50, the same weight as biology or chemistry. Students who focus only on the science subjects often arrive unprepared for this part and lose points that are easy to win back with a little practice.
Can I retake the practice test more than once?
Yes, as often as you like. The questions are drawn at random from a bank of verified questions for each area, so every attempt is a different test. If you close the page halfway through, the test resumes where you left off.
