Middle school tutoring, online.
Middle school builds the foundations of all later years: fractions, written text, the first foreign language, a way to organise homework. Lessons are 1-to-1 online, at your child's pace, starting from the real notebooks and tests rather than restarting the syllabus.
Middle school is where the method is built.
Situations we meet most often
- A failing mark in maths that started with fractions, equations or geometry, with a recovery to make before the next test.
- Essays, grammar and reading comprehension that cost a lot of time and effort, especially with longer homework.
- The move to high school: arriving with a study method already in place, without the sudden jump of the first year.
- Students who study but do not get results, because homework organisation and a few study strategies are missing.
A typical lesson
- We start from what has to be done: an assignment, a corrected test, a topic the class is working on.
- We find where the idea breaks down: first the why, then the rules, with concrete examples and drawings.
- We practise with guidance on a few exercises similar to the test, one at a time, out loud.
- We leave a method: a simple way to organise the week's revision, suited to the age.
What we can cover.
The programme follows your child's class: these are the areas we work on most often. Subjects other than maths are arranged on request, after an introductory call in which we understand what is needed.

Frequently asked questions.
Which year is best to start?
The earlier we step in, the less work is needed. Many families contact us in the second or third year, when maths changes pace, but a difficulty can be tackled in the first year as well. The introductory call tells us whether a targeted recovery or a longer path is needed.
How long are the lessons and how many are needed?
A lesson lasts an hour; with very young students we can work at a calmer pace, with breaks. The number depends on the goal: a few lessons can be enough for a test to recover, building a method takes a period of a few weeks.
Can an eleven or twelve-year-old follow an online lesson?
Yes, if the lesson is made of things to do and not of listening. We work on a shared notebook, with drawings and short exercises. A parent can stay nearby during the first lessons if you prefer.
Can I also ask for Italian and English, not only maths?
Yes, requests for other subjects are assessed case by case: if a tutor teaches them, we propose one after the call. We do not promise a subject before talking about it: we prefer to tell you at once what we can offer.
Do you work with students with DSA?
Yes, adapting the method to the tools set out in the school's personalised learning plan (PDP). You will find the details, and what tutoring can and cannot do, on the page about tutoring for students with DSA.
For the following years see how online tutoring works, and the page about tutoring for students with DSA if reading or writing is a difficulty.
Shall we start from what is needed now?
A 30-minute introductory call is free: tell us about the class, the subject and what worries you most, and we will propose a simple plan. We continue only if it convinces you.
