Two worked examples from the test

Question 1 · Cultura generale · Cultura generale

  • Etramite referendum popolare obbligatorio

Solution

Question 2 · Logica · Ragionamento verbale e deduzioni

Solution

Passo 3 — Applico a Marco.

Conclusione. Marco conosce la tecnica del win-win.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Is the practice test like the real LUISS test?

It replicates the feature that changes everything: strictly sequential mode. One question at a time, you confirm and move on, and you can never go back — exactly as in the real test. 50 questions in 75 minutes, scoring +1 / −0.25 / 0 expressed out of 100, minimum threshold 60/100. The questions are original, in the style of the test (logic, maths, general knowledge).

Why does “no going back” matter so much?

Because it cancels the classic strategy of “easy ones first, then back to the hard ones”. At the LUISS test every question has to be decided on the spot: answer, or skip it and lose the chance for ever. You need a skip policy decided BEFORE the test — and it is a reflex you can only build by practising in sequential mode.

What comes up in the LUISS test?

LUISS does not publish an official breakdown by section. The reconstruction by test-prep teachers: a lot of logic (verbal and numerical), maths (algebra, functions, geometry, probability), general knowledge. The English version of the test is a translation, not a language section. Always refer to the call for applications on luiss.it.

Do I need a high score?

The ranking is based only on the test score (the maturità school-leaving mark does not count). The minimum threshold is 60/100, but for the most sought-after degrees the real cut-offs reported by students are higher (roughly 70-85/100). Alternatively there is direct admission through certificates: SAT ≥1200, ACT ≥25 or IB ≥36.
