Is the practice test identical to the real TOLC-B?
It follows the 2026 CISIA structure: 50 questions in 110 minutes across 4 separately timed sections — 20 maths, 10 biology, 10 physics, 10 chemistry — plus 30 English questions in 15 minutes, marked separately. Scoring is +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong one and 0 for a blank (there is no penalty in the English section). The questions are original, written in the style of the official syllabus — they are not copied CISIA questions.
Why does maths weigh so much in the TOLC-B?
Maths accounts for 40% of the questions (20 out of 50) and almost half of the total time: it is the single biggest section, bigger than biology, physics and chemistry taken two at a time. Many biology students underestimate this part because they think of the test as “mainly science”.

How does the English section work?
As in the real test: 30 questions in 15 minutes, with no penalty for wrong answers. The score does not count towards the total out of 50 but indicates your level, using the same CISIA bands as the TOLC-I.
